After lots of enquiries from people asking about junior roller derby in Gloucestershire, four members of Severn Roller Torrent decided it was time to make it happen!
Frog, Raine, Reaper and Red are all current members of Severn Roller Torrent and passionate about bringing this exciting sport, played on roller skates, to children and young people across Gloucestershire.
We’re now busy working behind the scenes to get Gloucestershire Junior Roller Derby up and running. We’re currently looking for a suitable venue in Gloucester where we can get young people on skates, learning new skills, making friends and discovering the fun of roller derby.
We’re also grateful for the support and guidance of Active Gloucestershire, who are helping us as we work towards getting the league established and creating more opportunities for young people to get active through sport.
There’s still plenty to do before we’re ready to roll, but we’re getting closer!
